You know it's funny, we have the metric system, Litres, Kilometers,,, etc. and people still calculate it to mpg.

I had a '10 f350 cabelas with a 5.4l gasser. That thing was almost as bad as the 6.8l
dry on the highway doing 110, I got 16L/100km
With a sled deck, and 2 sleds, I got 25L/100km
If I was heading into a strong wind, I got 35L/100km
City dry I got 21L/100km
What a slug.

I now have an 09 f150 with the 5.4L
It does 12L/100 km dry on the highway doing 110
City I get 18L/100km with tools in the back
When towing my enclosed (approx. 3000#) I get 25L/100km doing 120
Still a pig when towing, it gets the job done well, and it is respectable when not under load.
Same motor, truck performs well with the smaller chassis.

Think a programmer would help with mileage?
I know intake/exhaust doesn't.

I use a superchip programmer in my 09 f150 and it sure makes a difference. The truck really gets up a goes and the fuel economy is better.

For those that grew up with the standard system and had to learn the metric system as adults still revert back to some of the old measurments...whats the big deal??

We also have two official languages.....did you learn both??

You drive around on hot all the time? How long have you been doing that for? Cause driving around with that much power all the time can't be safe.

Any way, I recently did a DPF delete on my 08 f-350 and went with the H&S tuner (set on mild), with factory intake and gets 16L/100km with 2 sleds on the deck.

I don't think it's a great idea to drive it in hot all the time. Your truck isn't going to last like that.

LOL, Yeah I know....I was taught metric in school BUT my parents still use MPG to calculate fuel mileage. I am slowly learning the L/100kms as it is far more accurate!! BUT still find myself converting everything anyways when I calculate it out....lol:rolleyes:

There is no difference in accretes, they are just using different units.

Your overhead may say that but there is no way, more like 18L per 100 km empty and 22-24 loaded

Ya got 10 fingers and 10 toes, you know the metric system
And BTW we have only one system now, it's called metric.
I remember when it was changed over, I was about 10 years old.
Born in '68.

As for French, I did learn the language in junior high, but hardly remember it because it never gets used around here, kinda like Imperial....... but that's another subject.

unfortunately the roads are still laid out in miles .... so your still going to have to know what a mile is
