I have a 2017 Chev 1 ton truck and wish to put a LED light bar on the front in the hole that is in the front bumper. Any recommendations on a light and how the install went. How effictive is it. Looking for brands, sizes, thanks.

Contact Dragonweld I cannot remember what brand led bar was in his truck, but holy crap it worked well.

I just put LED bulbs in my headlights its an impressive improvement.

Rigid makes an awesome light bar, you’d like it, focuses light a long way away and works good once you get your led headlights and driving lights done.

Don't plug that hole up full of light, the aux trans cooler is there

20 inch is more than enough light, I bought cheap 50 buck one from Amazon, works great

Your better off to hidden mount it behind the grill

Are you dead set on a light bar ? Or do you want to just improve the sub par factory lighting they send those trucks out with ?

Here is an option for upgrading the lights instead of doing a light bar

I was thinking of putting it there or on the bumper. I Just got it back today from Scott at Armaguard, he did a great job. http://www.armaguardedmonton.com/ I will make a post about his services after. Got the bottoms, fenders wheel surrounds, front and back bumpers all done. It looks sweet. Now installing the deck and roll out tray then some HID headlights and a light bar and shes ready for sledding.

Took a look at the video, quite a job to install those though. I bought a set of ProWorx projector headlight bulbs already and am installing them on Thursday. I will install some better fog lights as well. And you are correct the headlights are terrible on those trucks.

mount a 50 inch to the top of your headache rack on the sled deck on a motor, so with the flip of a switch you can change it from front to rear facing...... teach them people that come up behind with bright lights on a lesson.

6 x Rigid duallys and four spots in the rear bumper with a 6” lift and 37” tires puts them about eye level for most of “those people” that have no brains...shuts that ignorance down asap

Had a 20 inch light bar in the bumper on my 2012 Dmax and temp never changed on tranny temps for my driving .
Not pulling 15000lbs in 30 degree weather either .

The 17 and up have a main trans cooler right behind that hole, it's bigger and more air flow focused than the 12

Have a look at one sometime

Now in hind sight, a light would protect rocks from hitting cooler causing leaks, which I've done a few coolers now

Screen front it also to block the rocks
