If someone is actively hunting and trespasses on land the fine and severity is much higher than a regular trespassing fee. I suspect that they will push for high fines as well as loss of hunting privilege's for x number of years. The laws were changed in Alberta some years ago to account for trespassing while hunting as it was getting out of hand (still is) and people would shoot animals on land they have no permission for and only get a small fine for trespassing and still keep said animal. A first offence for trespassing was not much of a deterrent.
