Kallispell / Whitefish is a great area. We camp down there and love it. Lots to see and do around the Flathead Lake area.

Flathead Lake Brewing Co. will be a must stop if you are on the lake. Great little micro brewery right on the east shore of the lake near Big Fork. :d:beer::d They have won some big awards for their brew.

How about this go to Helena first night. Stay at the Super8 on the right. $60.00 with swimming pool and free coffee, plus its a good spot to everything. ( Mcdonalds, downtown, super wall mart all exits....). While your there look up corralmtnzz off the website Hes Dave Shells cousin from Team Thunderstruck good friend of mine .glad to hook up with us Canadians ( his request Peach Snapps). LOl. Then if your going spring break even better, Leave Helena the next morning and head off to West Yellowstone . The races and Octain Addicions are there ( backflips/sleds), then while your there and the town is exciting. ( oh ya youll get there around 5pm ). so while you there to see ole faithfull shes minutes away . .Then the following weekend is the Hillclimbs in Jackson Hole Wyonning. Now that is insaine the excitement in that town there, then drive back to Hellena sleep over then home next day. :):):):):) I have a few pics in my profile ,ooohhh back up BEFORE you get to Hellena theres a little town Toston. They make moonshine there please pick me up a bottle. mmmmmmmmmm. Thats what I would do.

I second the Kalispell/Whitefish area...we have been hanging out there for the past 10 years and havent gotten bored of the area yet...

If the lady likes shopping, there is tons in Kalispell, always great deals, we buy almost all of out clothes in the US now since they are so much cheaper. Good restaurants, good hotels, we always stay at the La Quinta, nice rooms, 24hr pool.

beer & pizza at Mooses saloon Kalispell or go down hill skiing at Whitefish, dont think the rafting has started yet. Last time I was there seemed like the prices have went up with all the tourism going on. When we were in are younger days $200.00 would go along way now that will get you a room and dinner

We were there skiing about 3 weeks ago and the prices are up a bit but its still about half of what it is in Alberta, and 94 runs were open...skied powder every day. Food is WAAAAY cheaper too...I cant remember what the passes were because we had multi-day, but we buy our ski passes at Costco here in Alberta for Whitefish, and it saves you a ton of money.

But yea, still good, but not like the old days when it was still 'Big Mountain'...

Great Falls has a Fudruckers and Target. What more do you want.

A little later in the year and I would send you towards Billings and Lewiston.

Just don't end up in Roundup....that place scared the heck out of me!

And the greatest buffet on the planet, Golden Corral...I ate about 75 bucks worth of steak there one night for about $3...

BUT....going to Great Falls is like going to Regina...Kalispell is much nicer!

You could cross into Wyoming, and check out the museum in Cody, the make your way to the biggest hotspring water park in north america in Thermopolis WY. Be sure and stay at the Best Western there you'll be amazed at the taxidermy that the owner has there!:d...but first of all have fun!:d

Hmmmm, thanks for the replies. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated too. Now our kids are going nuts to see the Grand Canyon too, but it looks like quite the drive....Is it worth it to go all the way to Vegas?

I drive to Vegas all the time. I stop in Hellena, and Salt lake City to sleep and lots to see on the was . then Grand Canyon is a few hour drive from Vegas. Theres many canyons and things to see on the way..............Go to the Canyon ANY time it doesnt change. If you guys love sleds and excitment, yogi bear its worth the trip to Yellowstone and crazy snow in Jackson Hole where you can ski right beside the hill climbs
