Got one marten line in, tried to make it a loop line... led to some nasty and dangerous hillclimbs... Plan B to follow. Ground not frozen hard yet made for some sktchy skeg and water crossings as well. Need snow.

I was simply asking Joel where his trap line was. We trap prairie creek north to cold creek and west to the height of land. My uncles were the original baseline trappers and that's who I "apprenticed" under...

Helped a buddy years ago north of harlick on his trap line , found tons of trails out that way doing it, two remote hunters cabins, good times back in the day... Tryed to quad it in summer towards camp 15 and McGregor lake, way too wet and rough as hell

We have another marten line to set. Maybe today or tomorrow. Wont get it all in until we get snow to sled. We sure cover ground a lot faster on the sleds. Hoping to set up a lynx cubby and get our wolf bait going. If anyone in my area has any old meat or carcasses from deer etc(cant use domestic animal carcasses) they want to get rid of we'll take er...?

Thanks for the updates and information.

My experience on trap lines was in BC 20 years ago.

I should find some old picture. I am sure lots has changed.
