is there somethign that can be adjusted for trucks with larger tires. it seems my truck 02 dodge 2500 with 37s shifts strangely. its very smooth but seems to be out. not sure how to explain it. im not sure if its the tires or the transmission is wacked.

The "correct" way to adjust to larger tires is to change the ring and pinion sets in both diffs to get the same effective gear ratio - but no-one wants to do this because of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.:d

Im not sure when it started, I think 04 but dont quote me on this, but the newer ones you can adjust the ECM to 'think' that you have 285's as this is the tire that comes on the Power Wagon. It will adjust your shift points, and I do it on mine for 35" tires but I dont know anyone running 37's. To do this you have to take it to the dealer and they use the scantool to set.

i thought so to. but it shifts excellent and doesnt hesitate or slip. fluid is always clean. the shift points just seem to be out. holds in gear to long....shifts down to early....takes to much gas to shift down..etc...

If it's a gasser,.. you might have the transmission shift point change in a Superchips tuner. You will have to check out their site to see what they offer,.. I know I can do it with my '06 1500, but I sold my tuner last year.
