I have a buddy looking for a place or land in Valemount and pricing still seems way over priced. Until the ski hill is a for sure no go people will still hold onto the hope that it will be built.

Property values increased in Valemount when the town reassessed there values up 144% in 2017 most likely due to ski hill prospect, and other things. Now there is a bit of a reset. Dealing in real estate in town for the last 3 months there has been a few lots sold. 2 on 9th street, one on 7th street, One fowlers. There is still a decent lot on the end of 9th street for 60 list. The other one is 89 list and they wont move much.

I went in unrepresented, learned a few things. Tammy was the realtor for the seller, but she has been excellent to deal with. A link below to a few, the one on 9th for 60 wont last long, decent lot, my second choice. The other one is in a less desirable location.

In them hills.
Ya a little late to push that turd back in here. So many growing pains with no available rentals other than VRBO and failing infrastructure with no plan to fix it. Another big issue is woefully inadequate development cost charges and developers taking full advantage with taxpayers footing the bill. Our local Revy rentals page has had 1400 new people sign up with SFA available and when a rental does come open people are swarmed with inquiries.I sympathize with Valemount and wish them the best . Hopefully they can take lessons from Revelstoke if Development starts there. The lessons being -WHAT NOT TO DO.
Yup Revelstoke is turning into a bit of a hell hole.
I cringe coming down off the mountain to head back to town.
Ski hill was the worst thing to every happen to that town.

Should almost have a Valemount real estate thread, we derailed this thread that was about accommodations in Valemount.

im sure that some of the accommodations will be more limited with the pipeline work going on in town. They don't all stay in camps.

Yes Tyler, I did just purchase a lot in Valemount today on 9th Street. Was listed at 74, Sealed the deal at 60. Don't think I went wrong here. Lately there has been a few going in town that's 4 lots sold that I know of in the last few months. The listing will probably be gone in a few days as the paperwork is done and deposit is in transit. Not sure if I can park the fifth wheel on here for the winter, will check. Otherwise will put up a small 2 bedroom house in the spring.

make sure there is a sewer dump on site, and exterior power plugs, and hose bib, I'll use that lot next summer for Vacation.

I just talked to bed and breakfast so far. Sat down and started calling and an emergency came in someone decided to drive into a few houses on the north side, that’s another story.

B&B has rented some of there cabins and beds to pipeline

Airbnb rented to pipeline super for winter.

I’ll touch base tomorrow with a few hotels, also want to check on restaurants.

Terracanna is closer......and has an awesome bar. Just sayin...….:)

Terracanna is catered buffet style on indoor picnic tables... and no cell service... Whisper creek cabin rentals are your own brand new private cabin kitchen and a BBQ, little different.... have you been?. Why would I stay at Terracanna and ride south of Valemount?

I'm not knockin' Terracana, we've stayed a couple times when riding McBride. I just don't really see the appeal. no hot tub either, I did like their Hummer rig.

Did Summit river lodge sell? I saw ads earlier in the year. I haven't seen their update lately.... Always wanted to stay there, haven't yet...
