I had a 2010 dodge 3500 diesel SRW and towing either my 28' sled trailer and my 30' travel never quite felt right. I replaced the steering box and all of the steering components, nothing helped. I traded that truck for a 14 GMC 2500 diesel with a 6" lift /35's and it towed waaay better. couple fingers on the wheel versus two hands and a prayer.

I found with the Ram if there was a cross wind and it hit the truck at the right angle the whole rig would start wagging. I don't experience that at all anymore with the GMC. maybe try adding a sway control system of some kind (not the best in the winter though)

I dont think weight the issue. Braking power is the issue. Lots of tractor units with heavy weight of pintle hitches. Look at the tandem 57' trailer units on the roads now a days
But most pintle hitches are trailer heavy and also duals on trailer which I would think helps with 8 tires compared to 4

Properly loaded trailer will correct the swaying issue, and properly set trailer brakes will help eliminate pushing your truck all over the place.
Also make sure your trailer is set level when hooked up, and not with the ass end sticking up higher then the front, like I see so many people doing:confused:

Yup, point is my post was just as useless yours.

Just like Gibbons said, I'm pretty sure that is the issue. I had a 2014 6.4L Ram pulling a 28ft all aluminum trailer without issues. Would sway if I loaded the bike too far back. Moved it more towards the hitch, sway is gone. I don't have weight distribution hitch for it.

It's a negative hitch weight issue. What make of trailer is it? Very rare to have an all aluminum sled trailer with 7K axles and 16" rubber.

I bought a 28' aluminum enclosed with 7000 lb axles. It's completely finished inside which is nice, but makes it kinda heavy. I'm pulling it with a 2017 Dodge 2500 with a 6.4 which has plenty of power, but is waggling its tail too much for my liking. It has stabilizer bars which helps, but is there anything else I can do? Maybe air bags to lift and firm up the rear coils?
Does the trailer sit level?
If your hitch is to low or the ass end of the truck squats to much the load will not be distributed evenly between the axles causing it to sway horribly.

Weight distribution bars do little for sway. Install a sway controller. I’ve seen guys install 2 sway controllers in really bad circumstances. They say it helped a ton.

Pj trailers carry a product that does both anti sway and weight distribution it is made by Anderson hitches have it on my 30ft enclosed I had bad issues with swaying solved the problem instantly check them out

Hitch setup is very important to keeping the trailer level. The problem with a ram is they have so much rake that the hitch has to be set high and dont follow the hitch instructions.
I spent all summer adjusting my hitch to my new 36ft TT with a GVW of 12000lbs
Also taking the trailer to a weigh scale and checking each axle helped. The way the dealer setup the hitch I had 400 kg more on the front axle if my trailer once i got my trailer sitting level and the axle weighs were even it towed really nice. Even in a x-wind,
