trailer length requirements

i drew out an 18ft box with a 4ft v on the grauge floor and tried to get my machines in it. looks like the smallest i can get away with is 24ft.

My next question is are 3500lbs axles safe for 4 machines and gear and what not? I found an aluminum 24ft but im worried that being so heavy and built kinda on the lite side that i will hurt the unit... Its a snow pro by alcom... anyone have any info on weather they are any good or not?

3500lb axles should be fine. An all aluminum trailer like that should weigh in under 2500lbs depending on options. Leaves you 4500lbs, so should even be able to haul 4 Yamaha's plus fuel.

Been a good trailer.
No complaints.

No honestly is has been flawless.

I have probably 80,000km on this one.
And I have pulled down 100s of km of logging roads.

Just replace the breaks and tire here last season.
Jack piled up, too.

Welds have all been good.

The weight adds up fast in a 4 place. Mine is the car hauler version. I have hauled a ford escape in it.

^^^ this one has been good my sleds been on it for a lot of those km. I had a legend aluminum that’s 10 years old thing also has been good usual breaks ect.

Yea thats kinda what im worried about, one machine is 600lbs fully fueled (rounded up) so 4 is 2400lbs justin in machines. leaves me 2583lbs of load left. im assuming i dont carry that much weight with me in gear bags, extra fuel, food etc. I just wanna be sure i cant damage the unit cause my last trailer somehow had a bend in the frame on the passenger side at the back behind the axles. I dont wanna spend the 25k and have the same thing happen

Pics are worth a thousand words. Three forwards and two backwards with a 22' straight wall and a 120!! LOL

On a deck over load the first sled through the front ramp door facing the rear door then the next three forward facing sleds then back the last one in. Then you're only dragging one backwards. On a mid deck you can usually back them up pretty easy.

That trailer was a 27’, 22’ of straight wall and a 5’ v-nose. The 22’ of straight wall is necessary for five.

Used to have a 8.5x30 mission trailer but was hard to fill it on trips so downsized to this 16+4 trailer and we can still squeeze 4x154s in there when we have to without to much trouble

Heater for boots or gloves, used to have aluminum one for gloves and boots i will miss that option my old trailer had but this one will do just fine

I am in same situation and was hoping the 20’ straight wall with vee would squeeze 4 165” without too much shuffling if I need too. Also have a deck on truck so any more could go on that...

Just for comparison sake, i have a 20ft shipping container which measures 8.5x20, and i easily fit 4 long track sleds. The extra 4ft of V i could likely squeeze 5.
