I opened up a can of worms, decided to take wheels off my boat trailer to diagnose why the drivers side vibrates. Its equipped with open eye leaf springs. Should the open eye be on the front or on the rear?
Thanks, that's what I have thought. Both of mine are on with the fixed eye to the rear, and the slipper up front. Ive even looked at videos of other EZ Loader trailers and they all have the fixed eye to the rear watch This guy really screws up, but if you skip to around five min mark you can see the spring is mounted with the fixed eye to the rear.
My quad trailer has the bolt in the front and the flipper in the back. But my springs don't have the hook on the end. That being said, the spring mounts have the exact same holes so maybe they can be reversed without issue? Or more likely the mount is 'dumbed down' and idiot proof
Judging by the tire rub on your deck, I’d measure your axle on a fixed point on both sides. Looks like you are out a tad. Or the axle was build a couple inches short? The hanger tacked already?
