First weekend of selling trail passes and already one of our girls get cursed out, torn into and called a Fat F'n C**t by some Hero! This happened at the Graystokes Trail Head off the 201. If anyone has info regarding this incident, please send me a PM. I know there were witness's. Poor girl was pretty shook up. Apparently he was on his sled so she didn't get a plate vehicle number. Any other clubs having problems with this?

Supply your collectors with a camera.
it's a sad day when it comes to this. Probably not a good idea. If this a-hole is ripping on the collector for no reason, what would he do if you were to try take his picture. It's very unfortunate that none of the witness stepped up and ripped this a-hole a new one.

my thoughts "what the fook is she doing out there all alone, in the bush, probably no phone, no gun, no big dog. i'm thinking there is something not right here. "

what club execdutive or council would allow this, gas stations need 2 attendants. i feel sorry for the lady enduring such horse shheeet. does she need to be attacked before someone wakes up. cameras are at most the minimum. only good after something happens.

club needs to shake there heads a bit.

That's exactly the problem pipes. At the start of this season we discussed taking photos of each rig as they arrive. They wouldn't even know they were getting their picture taken. At the end of each day, if there's no problems the photos get deleted. Funny, even some of the members on here stated we were Stupid to even consider doing this and one member even went as far as stating, it was "Childish". This same girl got the same treatment last year from some Idiot and this was an idea that was brought forward. So sad to think that the trail pass collectors have to work in pairs to be safe from members of the snowmobiling community. I agree that one of the witness's should have stepped up, but what can you do. Personally there's no way in Hell I could stand by and watch that happen, but some people can't handle confrontation. This has really got me riled up!

I suppose if you have a booth you could set up a hidden video cam and video everyone as they come to the booth. then like you say, if no problems just delete and start over the next day. I don't think you want to take a camera and take a picture of the a-hole as he is ranting, that would only worsen matters.I think you are right in taking steps in protecting your people. As for the member that said that this Idea was childish, what are his/her thoughts now. Maybe he/she would like to take up the job of collecting.

It pisses me off that there are people out there that would pull ch!t like this. I personally like to chat it up with the collectors.

I hear what you're saying, but right now we can't get anyone willing to step up and sell passes. If we have to pay 2 sales people on a commission basis or a decent hourly wage, we may as well not even sell passes. All the money will go to paying wages. We're a small club, not the size of Revy or Sicamous and our area isn't as popular as those, so we don't get the numbers of riders through our areas to support 2 sales people. Gas stations have 2 attendants because they're usually in residential areas where any Dirt Bag can go in rob the place and we all know it happens, a lot!. Our staging areas are over 30 miles out of town and the element we are dealing with is not Criminal. We are selling passes to other "Like Minded" people who you really shouldn't have a problem with. Are you familiar with other clubs legally taking photos? If so let me know who and I would like to ask them a few questions.

I dont get why this douche did that to this poor girl! All she was doing was her job and its not like its the most high paid glamourous job in the world either. Hes snowmobiling one of the most expensive sports in the world and if hes gonna bitch at the 20 bucks at the trailhead i guess he better sell his sled or go to ungroomed areas. Its a good thing that karma catches up to these people!

I think that the camera should be obvious, hell put up a sign saying that there is video surveillance. People tend not to act up like that if they know they are being filmed. Prevention of these sort of incidents is the important thing.
This was also discussed and I believe is going to be put in place very soon. And, cnelson, you're so right, Karma does catch up eventually.

Unfortunatley it seems your clubs BOD needs to step up,personally I think it's crazy having one person collecting money, criminals know there out there with a fist full of cash,30 miles outa town or not.

Shitty that things like this have to happen though, agreed the guy needs a helmet smashed across his face.
