Just wondering if anyone is interested in trading side panels. I just acquired a silver (2011 snow check edition) Pro-RMK and am not fond of the colour.

Who knows... maybe someone out there really digs the silver and would consider trading.

With a little elbow grease you can change the color to what ever you want. The panels are actually painted. I rubbed mine down and painted them flat black before I put on my decals. Took me about three hours a side.

I took a red scotch bright commonly used by autobody mechanics and rubbed them down to a dull finish. Good idea to clean them first with a wax and grease remover first. Make sure the edges are scuffed as well. I sprayed them down with dupli-color aerosol from crappy tire which is not the best but it worked. Any good autobody supply store can set you up, doesnt cost much.

This is what it looks like now. With exception of a Boss seat that I put on.

Looks sweet 007, I did the same thing with my panels but the paint is not holding up as well as I hoped it would. Do you have many rides on it since the paint job?

I would imagine his decals take most of the beating but wonder how the edges are holding out.

Hey Trench, I have put about 400 miles on the sled since they were painted

The edges are holding up quite well, I've taken the panels on and off quite a bit no issues yet. I have one little spot that didn't get sanded very well. The thing about autobody work is the time you put into prep will determine how well the end result will turn out. My time spent in autobody taught me these lessons. I would have to agree with the fact that the decals will take the brunt of the hits but with the flex of the panel if the paint doesn't stick neither will the decal. Hope this helps you Canuk.

Hey! 007 were you at Renshaw back on Jan 7. Seen a sled like that, it looked awesome and took a few picture in the morning.

Well what do you know. I met the Flying Frenchman and didn't even know it. Yes that was me.
