I have an M7 Modded, with a timber sled rear skid (153). When on the throttle hard (mostly coming over drifts and risers the track would chatter like the drivers were slipping. So I tightened the track some still did it so I tightened somemore3 and it was better. But I really think is too tight I can push down an inch if sag in the middle (pushing) and the hifax seem to be wearing. As well were the bushings supports the front shock on the bottom the track appears the have rubbed the left side completely gone and wore into the alum bolt. (Maybe its un related) could this be a bearing going/gone in the drivers? Haven’t blown a belt all year but I did get a crack in the DD case.
Thanks for the help

Matt

if its not the diamond drive your stock drivers could be worn out. but im not sure what cat has for a driver setup so its hard to say. every time it ratchets the drivers get a little chittier

I have an 03 mountain cat that did the same thing, my speedo stopped working in Revy but I just figured the cable was shot. Not so, the bearings failed, I got lucky and it rode great for the next 200miles or so then started to ratchet under heavy load in the powder near the farm. Needless to say the bearing eventually disintegrated and driveshaft wore right through the flanges. I got extremely lucky I didn't totally destroy my chaincase. Flip it on the side and check those bearings. Not that hard to change them out, just time consuming. Go aftermarket with the bearings too, you'll save yourself a good $50.

I have a 2010 m8 with a timbersled rear skid and last year i had about a inch and a half of play and it ratcheted all the time so i did the same thing you did kept tightening till it went away. Now i have maybe a inch of play when pushing on it but it doesnt ratchet much anymore, only in heavy wet snow. Hifax and DD are still good. What pressures are you running in your floats? IM running 80-85 in the front and 155-160 in the rear.
