Seems like a good time to start this thread as guys are already making it up the burn.

Just be aware of the icey conditions on the start or the Burn up to the first nob. There have been a bunch of newbies up this year that can't carry their speed from the bottom and have iced the $h!t out of the Burn. I know the Burn can be iced up easy but this year is worse than I have seen in while First 5 sleds yesterday came down backwards. If we get snow it should be good to go.

Need some more snow. Must of been around 100 sleds up there today! Trail is rough, very little snow down low but not to bad up top, but pounded out after today, all in all not to bad for a first ride of season

Rumor on the street there was an incident this past weekend, can anyone provide an update of anyone involved? The more info we can get on the conditions, elements or actions, the safer we can be, minus the names of anyone of course..

It was probably 3' deep of fresh snow that day and they were riding in the sande which see's far less traffic then the Torpy, so snowpack was probably far more unstable over there. I was riding over in the torpy when this happened and we only seen 1 small sledder triggered avalanche and a large slide way across the valley where you can't even get to on sleds.

Avalanche Canada

This is the one I've heard of, bet the guy that highmarked the fellow that was stuck felt like a d-bag afterwards

He didn't feel like a d-bag at all but instead was one. Told guys that where there, "if you are afraid of avalanches, you should go ride power lines". Apparently he was not to concerned about what he did.
