Top speed......... curious?

yup, my old '99 summit 670x saw over a 100mph on the speedometer a few times.... wonder why they trenched so badly with only a 136"?

At the Alberta Beach poker rally a buddy brought a grand touring 2 up with an 809 triple. We did a few passes on a packed trial right at160-165km... it just wanted to keep on going.... the engine sounded so sweet!! love triples.

My old mach z 800 triple would do 120mph.the suspension back then made it feel like 1200mph lol.

I have a old mod sled, 2000RMK 800. Don't know how accurate the speedo is but it hit over 200km/h going down the blindman river with my ex wife on the back...lol

The Iron Horse trail. Northern Central Alberta. Old rail line that has had the rails and ties removed, and is now a trail that runs for quite a ways in Alberta. Connects in a few places to the Trans Canada Trail. Check out the Alberta Snowmobile Association website. Grab a membership and a map, and all the rails are listed/shown. Support the great cause.

As a kid we had a 7500 blizzard it would go 105mph. That's when I was 10-12 years old no helmet! Funny I made it to be an adult

Curious why you mention "The Thing Can" a couple times in this post.... does that affect speed or were you just in a hurry to go eat lol

Two different sleds and I wanted you to know the minor mods of both.

I'm not a big fan of speed. Track speed climbing through the trees yes but then I don't have/take the time to look. Coming down the trail to the truck at the end of the day, I usually the last one. I go slow and enjoy the ride. Most go fast and enjoy the ride. I just a little different in some respects.

Most I've hit is 125km/hr on my '15 153" across a lake at about 1500' elevation. Clutched for 6000' tho.

/meh... 43 is the new 30 in my book. I quit smoking Nov 13th/2013 (pack a day for 20 years). Since then I've gone back to the gym with an absolute vengeance! I'm 5'10, 210, rock solid and bench 345 for a set of 6. Best shape of my life...... I figure by the time I'm 50 I'll feel 25 again
