In SK the use a plow for the streets and would wing every driveway.

generally, I grab them when they are on sale, but friends of mine seem to buy them always at Costco, if price is stupid, I'll forego it for now.

I have a hard time finding briskets. Save-On-Foods doesn't get them in very often and the locally owned grocery is the same.

Yes, the beef pricing has gone pretty high.

I asked about a side or hind cut, wrapped, and froze from a couple of local butchers. The prices range from $6.25 - $7.50/pound. I thought that was a decent price but I ate enough frozen meat when I was in the north and fresh meat tastes so much better.
