I like my 07 m8 162 first sled I have left stock and it has been pull and go
I would like to try an XP etech
You really should try it.

Really to be honest, all of the newer sleds are very nice machines (until they break down... Then they are the biggest piles of junk ever). It's just all about personal preference. I rode a friends 07 M8 for a little bit while she tried out my etec. They seem a little to tippy for me. I know people say that the ski doo is hard to pull over, but I just swing my belly out to the side I want to lean to, and go right over. :D

I'm happy with the stock power all my other sleds were mods always tinkering with them wasting good riding time

Ya, both of my Doo's have been stock so far. I might just ride this one, one more year, and then get a 2013.
