Check my beacon yesterday and lo and behold it was broken.

There was a little corrosion on a battery terminal so I cleaned it off and put in new batteries. The positive side of the copper contact was loose on the battery. It would work intermittently. Well, I know that's no good and can't use it that way. Long story short, it was broken.

I will get in touch with ASS today to see what can be done.
