Lol! Honestly, you can’t keep a pike out of Sylvan or Gull anymore, Sylvan is either freezing cold or stinking of fish when it isn’t. Cow Lake is disgusting and can’t beach anywhere except the park. We start boating in BC 2-3 months before its even possible here. Impellers and dents keep my heavy boat off the river here, too expensive. Shuswap has endless possibilities for day trips and overnighters, nice clean warm water to swim in, salmon run in late summer. You can trailer to many other amazing lakes and rivers nearby,,,, The list goes on...

I'm not doubting or denying that..... hell I don't even own a boat....... I don't fish for keeps, I fish to get out and relax.... mostly because I don't know the first thing about cleaning or cooking fish. it's a good way to spend a day with some buds out floating around!
