change of plans, all good.

I can only comment on one episode that I witnessed jeff, the rest you have to ask those involved, they made there own decisions and I cannot comment on what did or did not happen. you need to ask them. i can comment only on what I saw, but don't think that would be appropriate. if you want you can tell your side, as there is two sides to a story yours, mine and what did happen. so what happened at prairie creek jeff ?

Too much weed and taxes in BC. Cost of living is insane out here LOL.

Sort of thought you would see the issue eventually. Sure glad we are very close to Alberta and gotta buy as much as possible in the next little while before Knot-head brings in more taxes! Can't go to the State anymore with the dollar the way it is..................so it is what it is and I will "suck it up princess" sort of thing.

I like buying things in AB to save sales tax but my GF has lived in Calgary for two years and frankly BC is way cheaper to live in than that city. It's fawked there.

So what is the intent of the above statement about the "insane cost of living"?

Insurance is reasonable with a clean record.
Property taxes here (Elkford) are very reasonable but I do know other places are higher.
Gasoline is ridiculous out here and Salmon Arm is probably the most expensive in the southern part of the province.
Groceries are considerably more expensive than Lethbridge.
Booze is cheaper than Alberta.
Smokes I don't know about.
Material things are a minimum 7% cheaper in Alberta.
Utilities, I have no comparison.

Your thoughts on the above?

Insurance is reasonable with a clean record. A young person pays less in BC than in AB although AB has some advantages in regards to bundling insurance together ie. house, vehicle, toys, RV.
Property taxes here (Elkford) are very reasonable but I do know other places are higher. Calgary is higher than Salmon Arm and our home in Salmon Arm is newer, larger, and on a larger lot.
Gasoline is ridiculous out here and Salmon Arm is probably the most expensive in the southern part of the province SA is high but getting much better since some public outcry. Kamloops is often within 5 cents of Calgary
Groceries are considerably more expensive than Lethbridge. SA has many grocery options and most are in line with Calgary prices although the produce is much nicer and fresher here. Megan is always complaining about the produce in Calgary and she has tried many different grocers. Clearwater was Elkford sized and grocery prices were highway robbery.
Booze is cheaper than Alberta. I drink a lot of BC craft which is cheaper here but cheaper beer is cheaper in AB.
Smokes I don't know about. No idea.
Material things are a minimum 7% cheaper in Alberta. Yup.
Utilities, I have no comparison. I was shocked by utility prices in Calgary. Enmax are crooks. Water and sewer are invoiced monthly, electricity is expensive and gas is reasonable but all the delivery and service costs are nuts.
I'll add housing costs. For what we paid in SA for a reasonably nice 2700 sqft home w/ 2 bed suite on 1/4 acre we would have gotten a 1200 sqft townhome in calgary with a $400/month strata fee.

Your thoughts on the above?

It was sarcasm feeding a common belief on this forum.

I can only speak to costs in Calgary and nowhere else in the province. In summary our cost of living is lower in BC than in AB. Results may vary depending where you call home.

Good morning.

I guess we will see why 2016 brings.

All a person can do is try find the best deal for the money spent.

Taxes and utilities on home's it difficult to find deals

Some rates are set.
