Air quality advisory for the Elk Valley.................It is that nice smokey smell of living in the bush and knowing that the fire season is in full swing and soon we will start to look for snow up on the rocks.

I love the smell...........and the smoke doesn't bother me.

Nothing wrong with the breathing.......the media playing the air quality up and telling everybody to stay inside is a friggin' joke IMHO. It is ridiculous these days and you would think they were trying to be a mother to all. Stay inside if its going to hail, if the wind is going to be too strong, if the UV is too high, wear your sun screen, wear a hat, drink lots of water and keep hydrated, etc., etc, .........................holy crap, enough already.

Released a dozen Chinooks. Lost at least that many as well. Biggest was prob 20lb. Not bad for a few hours and definitely better than Ucluelet in the huge waves that make me puke. Too bad a guy cant keep em

One does what one has to doo. But why do the news people and the weather people have to keep telling us what to do in relation to the daily weather? I can see extreme situations that they could give an alert but they are getting ridiculous.
