Ouch... If my Pa was still here I woulda had my career set out too... He wanted me to manage the Install Team for Teko Cranes (he also ran Kaverit Crane) I worked under my dads wing for two years too. My daily driver was going to be my company truck too.
Now I'm looking for another trade to get into after school, but I know my way around metal.

Yeah. I'm thinking hard about getting into the oil patch. My dad was a no mercy boss to me, he raised with tough love, I couldn't even spend my own money until I was 14.
I like the sound of being a pipefitter, and the pay seems good! I can deal with the camp life as well.

I'd like to give it a shot. Do that for a few years, buy a house then retire to the mod yards.
