we're going to harvest a bunch of Tamarak for the cabin at Flatbush.



I get some from our friends firewood company. Usually take some for the first night camping because I am out first.

Plus don't feel like finding wood on the first day.

there are groves of them on Glen's lot up there, we just have to go and "ring" them so they be ready for next year.

Good idea. Cut and stack until dry. Then split

if you "ring them", cut slightly all the way around with a saw, they become Standing dead over the summer, and do lots of drying on their own!
