You have to realize that you have to get through said snow. Snowshoes on anything knee high or better. Then your dealing with the equipment depths, most equipment manufacturers claim around 15 ft, under ideal conditions whatever that is? I find usually 10 to 12 ft, sweeping ROW's. About the norm. U lose depth fro carrying by hand 18 " to 24 ". Then you lose depth again for every ft of snow. So 4 ft of snow plus carry height of 2 ft loses 6ft of depth so yo can easily miss pipeline ir cables at 6 ft ground depth. Then you are dealing with size of conductor, Tracer wire at 4 ft can be found on inductive but at 6-7 ft deep you will not be able to detect it .

Then there is the larry factor, Your going to have to pay me large to put my name on the ok to dig sheet. Your better off waiting to spring i think

Oh i forgot about the taxes, Best to not dig, snow is too deep after all.
