You may be able to drive your pick-up up there this year. I don't know how far the logging road is plowed for. I have heard that it is plowed to the sub-station and then it is blocked/closed (even for sleds) for active logging. The other side (main Elk FSR) is plowed also and I don't know how far. Sometimes there is an ice bridge across the Elk in the Aldridge Creek area.

It is kind of neat to see and readily accessible on a sled.
