Advice for next time Troy, at the first sign of a cold, take a capful of apple cider vinegar every few hrs. Best kind is organic but any will still work. It's a natural antibacterial and kills germs immediately.

Yes drink it but if u put it in hot boiled water and breathe if thru ur nose, it'll kill germs there too. The very best thing to do is a capful with a quarter cup or so of warm water and gargle and swallow. No joke at all, I don't believe in medicine much (except for my beloved Motrin!) lol

Here's the key. You need to obey your early warning system. If you feel any inkling that a cold is about to happen then take 3x3times a day then 2x3 times a day then 1x3 times a day. Done deal . No cold.
