They pop up outta nowhere. Never done damage to a sled by hitting one but have came very very close. I had a rental 600 in Golden last year. Was taking a little pull at a hill and hit 1 outbid 2 trees on the hill, the tree kinda bent and sling shotted the sled in the air 2 feet or more. I almost went over the bars, and almost messed my pants... Man it was wicked!!! Lol. Came good and close to smacking one that woulda done some damage, I just brushed up on it a little.
