definitely hoping for a dump of rain for that area and cooler weather, I have a cousin displaced by the fire right now and they don't know the status of their community. If push comes to shove, we will load up the truck/trailer with valuable possessions and go to Armstrong (25 km south). I have my first cataract surgery on August 29th and I have waited for over a year for that to come to fruition. The operation is in Armstrong. That way, I will be there. Our first choice was going east to Alberta but then I thought, is there a possibility that the TCH would be closed and we couldn’t get back for the appointment?
Being positive, they will control that beast and it won’t make it to Salmon Arm and bring an evacuation order with it.
The reports that came out yesterday talking about people stealing pumps and equipment is disgusting though
