If push comes to shove, we will load up the truck/trailer with valuable possessions and go to Armstrong (25 km south). I have my first cataract surgery on August 29th and I have waited for over a year for that to come to fruition. The operation is in Armstrong. That way, I will be there. Our first choice was going east to Alberta but then I thought, is there a possibility that the TCH would be closed and we couldn’t get back for the appointment?

Being positive, they will control that beast and it won’t make it to Salmon Arm and bring an evacuation order with it.
definitely hoping for a dump of rain for that area and cooler weather, I have a cousin displaced by the fire right now and they don't know the status of their community.

The reports that came out yesterday talking about people stealing pumps and equipment is disgusting though

We had a couple of good rain showers in Fort Macleod this morning, its long overdue here as well. Supposed to rain on and off for the next couple of days and then I really hope it goes west

Checked on boys. No one around. Combine sitting by truck and header halfway down the field with reel up and lentils hanging off cutter bar. Not good me thinks

So we stay in our trailer at the Daisy may campground here in Fort McLeod, it is the newest addition of the campground and full services and the latest and greatest technology. Which was installed only a year and a half ago. It has been determined today that the entire electrical panel for the new section is shot and everybody loses power until it’s replaced, when is it replaced???
So now we have to supply our own generators if we want power to keep our fridge and furnace running and batteries topped up. I’m pretty plucking pissed off right now cause I really didn’t need this

should be reducing your monthly rental rates then if they are removing the power.
