Not that I am an expert but having my sister in the industry has learned me about the correct products

Around the windows, the mastic was dried and cracked. When I removed that, the mastic under the window edges was just fine. So because of the flexibility of silicone, I used it.

I'm doing the same thing to mine. But being 280 pounds I don't get on my roof. My sister's friend does it for $80 and I supply the dicor
