We were lucky there was very little other damage around camp

I do not like camping in poplar. Reminds me of a campground around chip lake. Beautiful campground but once I seen the poplar, nope I’m out.

One year Sledderglen and I went trail checking with Arff at Rocky Mountain House before summer campout. Got caught in thunderstorm, hail good down pour. Stopped at Arff camp to take shelter under parachute and have a beer...... Standing by big steel pole and lightning struck about 50 feet away in bush..... Changed location finished beer and went back to my camp
