After the evening the bird is carved, the supper meal is normally, hot turkey sammiches maybe for a couple meals. Then it is turkey soup with the bones and the carcass but before the carcass goes into the pot, all the nice pieces of meat that are available go into turkey pot pies and into the freezer.
We are on iced water and cabbage soup with turkey until New Years eve. Then the Prime rib roast will be on the Q and there will be rum/pepsi/lime in hand. BTW, the process is pretty much the same with roast beef or pork as to the meal order other than the beef/pork pot pie. Gotta love beef/barley soup!
