We have blue sky today!!

Not that real bright blue like a normal Shuswap sky but the smoke is less this afternoon.

It is interesting. BC Fire Services tell us that they aren't updating the fire information because they are short of staff. Even the fire mapping is behind and crews are down in numbers. Not one report of the Armed Forces on site (didn't Trudope and Stajan say they were sending them to help). There are fire fighters from Mexico that have arrived and are they in quarantine. Regional Districts want states of emergency declared but the Provincial Government isn't in line with that. Probably cost them too much money if they did declare that.

Fires burning all around us but none are very close.

But there are fires in adjacent valleys. So if the winds picked up or the fires got big enough to create their own winds, we might be in a little danger.
