what are these used for

Working in what we call the wet section.
We pulled a sulphuric acid pump last night. These are about 13ft long and weigh 4200lbs (approximately)
Allows us to touch the pump without getting acid burns.
Welders and fitters have to wear these when they make repairs inside the towers.

The smoke has moved in. Not as thick as we have had in other places that we have lived but the neighbours are already packing stuff for an evacuation order. Bev was at the hair dressers and the rumour mill has a fire at Yankee Flats which is in the Salmon Valley south of Salmon Arm. Might be interesting.
