you honestly think the noise level matters to the granola crunchers? they know we are there and that is all the ammo they need and care about in the end

Its annoying to people that love to sled. So I can't imagine granola crunchers enjoy loud cans all that much either.

But look I don't care what can you run, the game is just about over, so enjoy it while it lasts....

My uncle guides for a backcountry skiing outfit. In certain weather the loud cans ricochet the BRAAP for miles and miles through the mountains. Anyone with half a brain and/or over the age or 13 would realize the impact of this. Often the skiers can't even see the sleds but when they hear the BRAAP they certainly aren't thinking "wow that's cool"

Anyone with half a brain would understand that skiers don't want sledders in the mountains period. Do you really think if they don't hear us, they wont know we're there and just stop lobbying?

P.S.

**** off with the insults. It's possible to have a discussion without that.

My point was the BRAAP carries a long ways and draws unnecessary negative attention. But yes in some geography/weather if it weren't for the BRAAP they wouldn't know we were there

Their is a couple of BC ‘locals’ on Instagram recently posting about annoying loud race cans.
Go back 3 years ago in their Instagram feed tho and they were running a TSS tunnel dump.
One of the loudest cans on the mountains. Stick your nose up in the air now like a self entitled
douche and just blame it on ignorant Albertans.

Doubling of sound intensity (acoustic energy) belongs to a calculated level change of +3 dB. +10 dB is the level of twice the perceived volume or twice as loud (loudness) in psychoacoustics − mostly sensed.

I just copied that **** from Wikipedia because I didn’t know how to explain it. LOL.

Every 3 dB increase in power is doubling the power level...every 10dB gain in sound level is a doubling of the perceived sound level ...it’s a logarithmic scale.

A can that was 10 dB louder than the stock can would sound twice as loud.

this is the stupidest thing I have read on this site to date is this thread
i will always run a can

if u want a quite sled u should probably go back to skiing or boarding
maybe just take a hike and beat it

get rid of the big noise in the back country and burn the choppers down
logging hoes
tractor trucks
and dozers to
just stop everything for y2y and all those other oxygen thieves

people that think this way will never be free
and need a controlled life of stupid rules made by others lesser then them
i will not partake in this no can BS
