I like the theory they need exactly this engine. 6.2 sucks. 6.7 diesel is too much for most. Hopefully it gets some mileage.

That's wicked, might have to go for that once my 8.1 liter is worn out.

When something goes wrong on a Ford, I always like to ask, "do you have to take the cab off to fix that"?

I run my deck on my 2010 GMC 2500hd. It’s likely overweight when I’m driving. I won’t weigh it. If anybody is afraid of these facts you can tread carefully until the rcmp lock me up and I’m sentenced to 5-10 for attempted manslaughter.

I'm generally not a Ford fan but nonetheless quite interested to see how this new engine works out. Simple big block pushrod V-8 optimized for low to mid RPM operation with variable valve timing.

About time they Built an engine that's close to their 460. The 6.2 is nice but underpowered for a 1 ton duallie work truck. The V10 is only available in the F450/550.

Not a ford fan but it should be a nice combo, test drove the new ram 6.4 with 8 speed in a 3500 and it was impressive for a gasser. this new combo from ford technically should be even better to bridge the gap but I guess time will tell

Had a 6.4 2500 ram 2500 with 4:10 gears. Found it gutless especially with a head wind while towing. Empty, was great.

Ya I thought the same with the previous versions that came with the 6 speed, it’s a way better set up with the 8 speed, still not a diesel but better than what they had
