Many new cars don't come with spares but a can of fix a flat and an air compressor. True Story! That said use the stuff like you would a spare-in an emergency only.

Or, if like in the case of my buddies front tire on his trike, if you can't get the wheel off.

I run slime in the raceline tires on my commander, there isn't a hint of wobble flat out on pavement at 70 mph.

Exactly , the faster you go the better it works ... In other words in slow normal trail riding ... It sucks .
imagine it slopping around at 5 or 10 mph..

you can't possibly believe that would be hard on wheel bearings or tie rod ends alone...every bump you hit is a hundred times more stressful on those components than a viscous liquid moving around inside the tires

You ever have a bent drive shaft ? Know what it does to the seals and bearings ?
A little out of balance is not a good thing .. But fill it with
Beer if you like ... Whatever .

a driveshaft spins many times faster than a tire, you can't even compare the two in that regards.

I think it's funny, Sure learned a lot about who knows the most about repairing a tire lol, the clash of the big mouth ego's. Should have a tournament, teeroy vs tex, they can talk and brag about themselves till a winner is declared. Sell beer, and earplugs for the spectators. LOL.
