Find a new dealer?

The MSRP of that sled is only $13,799, tax is 14,385, with pdi and delivery sounds like you aren't being quoted any discounts. I wasn't pricing out fully loaded 163's either. $12,500 was before taxes on a 154 SP with the etec, pull start only. I called every dealer in AB and some in BC when I read about the rebates.

I then found a spring check I was able to take over.

Honestly I would ditch the estart on a etec, but each to their own. Does it still not come with a pull start if you order estart? So you have to pay another fee for pull start too.

Skinnykid, thats a good deal.

Talked with martin motorsports too and they were 14,000 + tax with no estart for an sp 163 which is even more than my local dealer. This is kind of painful to find a dealership that will deal. 12,500 out the door with no estart on a 154 is good so add 300 bucks to go with the 163 and I would be a buyer but I guess there is still too much money floating around in alberta. I found a x model at martin too and they were msrp plus freight and pdi so I said you guys are charging msrp for a sled and the guy said that is the way it is. I work at a dodge dealer and would fire my salesguys if they said that to a customer.

I misquoted by saying out the door...$12,500 was the discounted price before tax/fees. So yes you can find a154/no estart for $12,500, with a 3 year warranty. It still came in under $14k.

2011's were discounted about $1500 more in BC than in AB. Not many AB dealers had any 2011's.

What kind of numbers should the polaris dealers here in Alberta be selling these things for? By the way would be wanting a pro 163 with electric start.

I'll run some numbers with rebate pricing and estart and fire you off a message tomorrow am! :)

You should go for the Cat Momma has sitting on the show room floor. I had a few moments to get a showroom floor feel for it while I was in Nelson a week back, I would go for the Cat over the Pro. Be the guinea pig! :)

I read somewhere that the 2012's ordered with E-start do not have a pull start. It's gonna make me nervous but I guess it is no different than a car was when they first introduced batteries over the ol' hand crank, eh!

Only you and the Wright Brothers can remember that far back FS!

Don't the Russian's still put cranks on the Lada's?

i as well think you should take another look at the cats.....coming off an xp your gonna be used to the steering post going over the motor (jealous cause it feels like a greyhound bus to me, but is much stronger!!!) the cat shouldnt have too many growing pains, same motor, better clutchs, skid is similar.....the only thing i would worry about on the new cats is just fit and finish seems to be chit. but with a little work they should be fine.

the pros are nice, but down on power IMO....and yes i have ridden them and yes they get on top of the snow well yadda yadda yadda........

if your scared to be the test dummie for the cat, get the doo.....stronger platform, better stock sled. the etec makes power like crazy too, weird power almost feels electric!!!!!!! and you wont spend the first month of your season trying to get used to the steering of the pro.....
cant belive i just told somebody to buy a doo.....sry momma!!!!!!!

I rode my buddy's 2011 RMK 800 155 last year for a bit and I thought it was amazing...compared to my Rev anyway. Only spent a few minutes in the meadows but I've never ridden a machine so easy to put on it side and then bring out of the carve, pretty much by just thinking about it. I've never ridden the new Doos so I have no comparison. At least I won't BS you and tell you I have anyway.

I have comitted to a new Apex, I used to own a 2003 800 mxz, lots of fun, but I sure like to sound of the 4 stroke and the power you get once you throw a supercharger on is amazing

I am in exactly the same boat gdawg. I had an 08 xp 154 which i just sold and am now looking between the new polaris & new etech. Really like the looks of the new poo and do have that feeling that i would like to try something new but i dont want to be disappointed with the polaris, plus it is hard to go backwards in horsepower compared to the etech. Best number I can get on a new poo out the door is 13,400 with estart does anyone know if this is a fair price and what the price would be on a new etech?

Might want to get ahold of I dare ya Rene in Sicamouse Eagle Valley Lodge. Cheers.

Well I finally pulled the trigger and decided to go with a 2012 Summit SP rather than the pro rmk. Ended up getting a fantastic deal and went with what I know. Thanks for all the opinions and help.
