I would suspect the doo's are programmed to reject anything polaris.... you should have thought about that before buying 2 different brands of sled... both will now see you as a traitor. mix the doo & poo oils @ 50/50 and run in both

Couldn't grab a POlaris for my wife, basically it's too powerfull beast, XM is built for females and looks kinda
girlish, sorry guys don't want to offend anyone.
Perhaps, I should buy something neutral like SHELL oil and use it for both sleds.
Thanks for help guys.

I thought the etecs could go a year on a gallon of oil? Are they not better on oil than powerteck engines? If so, why all the fuss?

just sayin'

I don't have an etec, just an ole beater pteck that sucks oil like it does fuel ;)

It should be, smells like chit when running, burns eyes ect
And Lenny........cause I know you're watching. Tex is right. There oil does burn your eyes. We helped 5 rental Pro riders find there way out of Frisby last year and I rode shotgun and was lucky to have my eyesight when we got back to the ridge. This post is no slight on the great product Polaris makes just there pukey oil.

Sorry cant say, haven't had one for 2 years, didn't notice it in the bunch of them in our riding group. But I really don't like the smell of 2 stroke smoke from any of them.

Which oil guys do you think less "pukey" and doesnt burn eyes?
Polaris said their oil smells like strawberry, just got a gallon but hasn't tried it yet.
I know RedLine isn't too bad but I cant find it in Calgary, Crappy Tires do not sell it anymore.
May be Shell? Its written on their cans "doesnt smell too bad or something"

what are the thoughts on using the amsoil full synthetic oil in new 800 xm.
Is warrenty still valid or not worth the hassle?
Thanks for your thoughts

after shelling out the large for a new t3... I'm not messing around with different oils. Gonna use what brp recomends and nothing but.... Besides that, these things "sip" oil, unlike anything in the past, so i'm stocked up with synthetic brp oil(8 jugs) and suspect that should doo for a couple of years :) ... I hit the synthetic brp oil sale at Martin Equipment on the southside! GOOD TO GO :)
