What are the thoughts on using the amsoil full synthetic oil in new 800 xm.
Is warrenty still valid or not worth the hassle?
Thanks for your thoughts

Brp has to prove that the oil was the cause of the failure. Most of the oils out there meet brp specs or better them for the oil. Take a look at amsoils web site an read the warrenty stuff. Been running amsoil for 6 years in my one sled and way less cleaning of the valves than using the brp semi and it cheaper than over priced brp.
If you worried run the brp crap till your break in is done than switch. If you every have a problem drain the oil tank an put back in the brp stuff. One dealer told me and my friends to do that if we got engine failures.

You need to buy your BRP oil from somewhere else Dan. Not everyone charges what Turples does. Lol.

Not sure what Turples charges?? I get it in Revy,, BC is expensive HaHa

we have cats and have always run yamilube.... there was an oil thread on here where a dude actually broke down the chemical compositions of different oils blah blah blah....

It's a lubricant, some people will swear by one over another but in the end they all do the same thing....lots of guys on here swear by the shell stuff at crappy tire for $36 jug.

I get my yamilube cheaper than that and it's "dealer recommended"

Joes power valves are cleanest on amsoil and bobs are cleanest on doo and Dicks are cleanest on shell
Joe blew 2 motors on shell BOB has always used amsoil with no issues and Dick cratered a motor on yamilube

as many opinions as there are brands

$55 a gallon in Calgary, just run BRP of course other oil brands are going to put CAN NOT deny warranty they want you to buy their oil. Skidoo makes it pretty clear everywhere to run their oil. For the money your saving not worth it if you do have warranty issues down the road. Sledding is not cheap guys haha

I never lost a motor on OEM, or Amsoil oil ever.....very rarely is an engine failure caused by the oil itself....proper trouble shooting will show the root cause of the failure...my advice when swapping oils is get rid of as much of the old oil as possible before filling with the new oil.

ran both and both work well. i get the DOMINATOR Synthetic 2-Stroke Racing Oil for $40 a jug, so i run that.
everyone has a favorite,
my buddy had a turbo M8 and the oil line got pinched , melted the seals out of the motor it got so hot. we put seals in it and it ran for two more years.
