I've been experimenting with building red light covers for my XP and a friends Pro as I could not buy what I wanted for a reasonable price. Here is my end result. I'd like some feedback.
Considering building to sell but not sure of interest. They velcro in place and can be removed for night riding. Sell price would be about $50 a set.

Thanks for your thoughts!

I don't like the idea of velcro. Could fall off easily is it gets gummed up with snow, and velcro does. I prefer those vinyl ones with the small holes to let light though. I'd rather just keep my light clear though.

Thanks. Good thoughts. Keep them coming.

I did test these in Revy with rough trails and lots of powder and they did not fall off. If velcro is fastened ie. covers are in place snow does not reduce hold. The concept was simplicity and removability. I liked the red glow and I'm not sure you get that with the perforated decals. My friends always know my sled even from far away which can help keep a group together on crowded hills.

Any issue with the headlights heating up? How thick is the material?

Looks great and I agree will hold if you secure it before the snow is on the velcro

Material is 0.125" Acrylic.
The velcro keeps an air gap so no heat issue so far.
