The monsters ride like and old steel wheel Massey tractor.....
I will swap them out for one of....
30 zillas
30 outlaw radials
29.5 terminators
All ride better than these lumpy bastages....

My personal favorite for a Stock tire, trail/quad friendly tire that was still respectable on mud trails was the Goodyear Rawhide. My first Sportsman 500 had them in 2003 and they were a great tire.

With that said, I run 28" Bighorn 2.0's on the 850 now, and they are a nice tire as well.

I am still a fan of the ITP 589 For an all around tire but that's just me!!

i agree a good alround tire, i think it is leaning more towards the rock/gravel side more than i like. if they made bearclaws with a little more lug and in larger sizes i would be all over them like a fat kid on a box of smartties.

Yep, I can even glue a toonie to each one if you like. The Mambas came with my 900, but most of the miles I'll be putting on this year will be on site, or in the dunes, so I really have no use for such an aggressive tire. I'll keep my 30" Zillas just incase I actually get a chance to ride out west, but I'm going to throw a set of 26" Bighorns on it for now. I do know a guy with a welder incase you have a moment of weakness on the throttle, but with the Ranger, you really shouldn't have to hammer on it at all....just let the tire do the work.

A toonie. Man now your putting them bad boys outta my price range! Lol . Those tires would likely make it easier for the rest to follow. Clean all the mud out of the trail. Lol. So far i have only looked at that funny lookin thing with the hook on the end once, the guys riding the canams where telling me it was a winch, and they use it all the time! How would i know? Haha. I think i'm going to catch crap now haha.

So just how ruff where the mombas riding?

That would give me the gears, lol,

Your running silverback tires? How do you find them on the trail? From what i've seen they do well in the mud. Can't say i have ever seen you really stuck or pulled out.

I think you may be a little touch sensitive Tyler...they aren't that bad. They don't ride like a highway radial, but I don't think they're any worse than any other dedicated mud tire. They are heavy though....real heavy.

if memory serves me correct we had 30" mamba's and they were 45+ lbs per tire......

I just want my quad to ride like my car, is that too much to ask?

Nope, not too much to ask, your Bighorns are probably gonna be the closest you're gonna get.

I personally like my bighorns, but would like to try bighorn 2.0's
hey TG, they came stock on my commander. nice tread pattern but they are very thin and a lot lighter than the original bighorns, never realized how so until I had one off the wheel. very floppy like an old moccasin. the original bighorns are a way better tire all around IMO, the lugs are bigger too. mine were stamped and advertised as a 26", they actually measure 25" for some reason.

well, since you say this, they will make your quad ride like a car....lol. I put them on my 400 outlander and I can't believe the difference in handling since taking off the mudlites. it feels like a brand new quad, steers light and rides fantastic.
