....

skidoo at 4psi is 3200 extra.

anyone aftermarket is 5000 bolt on for 5psi

apples to apples, a new machine with a bolt on is 2000 more for 1 extra psi point. BUT you paid for more turbo lag, no warrenty, less durability, and less fit n finish.

at 7psi or better your going to have some problems down the road at some point.

It's weird that on my xm if I push 4lbs it's way more than 165hp - I wonder why the stock turbo pushes 4lbs in some people's eyes and it is still 165hp ..... Hmmmmmm

depends on how u upgrade
2019 x is worth max 10gs on trade to a dealer for a 21g sled
so 11gs to upgrade
5gs to upgrade existing iron

My sled at 7000+ ft pushing 4lbs will destroy a factory turbo Doo pushing the so called 4lbs at 7000+ ft all day long

but its still old junk and looks the way it does... how can you even compare it to a new turbski? pull your head out of the sand, turn off the def leppard and get real bud.

It's a whopping 5 yrs old - that's ok I know what I have for a machine - and so do the people I ride with - I'm hoping to get out next season and ride with some people with the new factory turbo - I'm 6'1" and 230lbs I prefer sleds like my 174 Doo and my kingcat - I'm kind of more of a construction grade type of person - those frogskinz on the new Doo wouldn't last 1 day with me

Hit me up in Jan 2021 - I will gladly back the claim

Haha you said something is better than a Doo - you're gonna get attacked for that....lol.

How dare you!

On topic you need to ride a TDoo an the aftermarket kit the same day or field comparison is null and void.
The bigger the power you want the further you move from the Doo.
Two year old carry over and aftermarket cheaper than a Doo but with no warranty.
Pretty bullet proof these days - a good as a Doo motor for reliability/down time.
And you get to have some easily tunable clutches without warranty worries that Doo cries foul on.

But if 165hp will suffice get the Doo.
Either way you will be killin the NAs.

have you spent an entire day on the new turbo? Thinking not. I think we should only be giving advice to the original poster if we actually have knowledge of the product LOL
I agree on the advice part - haven't had a chance to try it due to covid - next season fingers crossed - I have a cousin with the new Doo - said I can try it - the gen 4 track is not construction grade IMO - I've ridden the gen4 chassis - the new turb Doo has got to be IMO about 90% the same as riding a regular gen 4 sled - warranty is awesome - with the way things are going now with economy do you think maybe warranty claims in the future will be a bit of a battle? I do - but that's just my opinion

Take your own advice, you sure give a lot of advice on the Polaris threads.....

ive rode every new Polaris in every possible combination from stock to high boost and everything in between. im on the hill 60+ days a year and i have friends that make bad life choices what can i say. ive got plenty of polaris seat time. Heck i rode one yesterday. Brand new Polaris 850 154 with the skidoo steering post. Couple more skidoo parts on er and it would be a decent sled LOL. your just assuming because i say Polaris is an inferior mountain sled that im just making that up hahaha!

Yet with all those sleds you've rode you've never ridden one other than ski-doo that you liked?

Your just too biased to provide any useful information.

you could just wait a year and spring check a factory turbo Polaris in the new chassis.

Polaris is still 3+ years away from anything close to factory boost. They dont have the engineering capacity to launch something that technologically advanced quite yet. Dont hold your breath waiting for that one, you will die.

Because it works backwards. It is designed to maintain 165 hp. At sea level it create 0 boost and increase boost as elevation changes to maintain 165 hp.
