Teamgreen, his sig does not suggest that he is a spelling teacher. He put up a very usefull post that I am sure got a lot of people looking into their packs.
Yes it is a very complete pack but with his experience in CPR why not pack it.I went through all of his items and made my comments about them.I wasnt bashing him, only commenting on what I thought was needed.
Whats in your pack....?

As a medical professional myself I do have some of the stuff he has, I just choose to leave the Ambulance at work cause most of the equipment isn't gonna save someone in cardiac arrest when you are hours from a hospital. The most valuable equipment is in a first aid kit. Next sled trip I'll drag behind an ambulance just in case, maybe I should also bring a Quint in case the Avy shack catches fire

Excellent post prior to the pissing contest, then it was just humorous. I will certainly be printing this list out and making use of it.

I have commented on this thread earlier, but would like to once again. This is not a pack that everyone would want or could use in the back country. What H2snows pack demonstrates is the diversity of things you could carry, depending on your ability.
Some things are basic keep your azz alive for the night, others are more complex.
I believe he only wanted for people to have a look in their own packs...not a bad idea..

Great post H2, very similar to what I carry and it's really not that heavy. I carry a bit more spare clothes. Our group splits up the gear, safety supplies/kit, tools, parts and food. No double carring by one person. Unfortunatly we have used most of the safety gear over the years but no body busted up to bad. It's great to have the gear when you need it. Hopefully the  comments were jokes! :d

I hope someone like H2 is around if I'm seriously injured while sledding.
For the more minor stuff I think I carry enough. Time to brush up on first aid though. It's been a few years since my last course.

Good list. I try and keep a list of what I bring in the truck and a list of what put in my pack. I actually check stuff off before I go. I hate it when I thought I packed something only to find out it's sitting at home.

Great list H2, I'll be adding a number of items to my pack.

Only things I can suggest to add are a headlamp, compass, map and a warm toque... incase you get separated, breakdown and have to walk home/back to the trail.
