shheeet fernnie is this thread for real, ya must be kiddin, i thought ya just threw the dirty clothes away and bought new.

ya' it is.....we must need some snow somewhere, eh!

But yes, the motor is getting real hot and smelling and it just isn't worth fixing. So I have to get the cash sock from under the mattress, break down and spend a few bucks...might even have to take on another customer before the snow flies.....that'll be a beotch!

BTW, thanks for all the info guys.....

Any of you guys had to change the bearings in one of those front loads? Its quite the chore imo. Disassemble the whole thing to get to them....Somedays the ol top loads are the way to go. Easy to fix.

Well they are in the house and installed! MayTag Maxima's......

Quite an ordeal; found out most places don't stock what they have on the floor. Takes a week to 10 days to get them. Found a place, Ashley Furniture that were the cheapest
and the most helpful. We ended up driving to Calgary and picked them up at the warehouse. T'was a 15 hour day by the time we did the Costco run, had supper, and arrived back at home.

I also noticed in the installation instructions that a person should replace the washer hoses (and now the dryer hose with the steam option) every 5 years! Wow, the old ones were 21 years old and I never gave them a thought about leaking or being suspect.

S&M changes, sleds change, and now washer hoses......friggin' new stuff!!
