Getting a 05 short box 2500 cummins

Need to be able to pull in an out of standard garages with the sleds on the back so thinking about taking off the box and building a flat deck for it

Would love to see what you've built or got to get some ideas

thinking about using steel tube frame and plywood decking .. buy an alum ramp and super clamps..

just gotta figure out how to stash the ramp (and if I can find a way to secure my skis / boards somehow that would be rad .. maybe mount some thule ski racks or a box somehow ..)

Sounds like you have a truck picked out already, but a long box would be better suited for this...

Ferniesnow on here has one, great design, send him a pm...

It is built by Silver Lakes Manufacturing, here is a link to the Silver Lakes Manufacturing website, http://www.sledecks.com/
Anyone that may be interested in this product will have to contact Silver Lakes Manufacturing to locate a dealer.

checker plate is by far the ugliest material one could build something nice out of ... IMO.... it should be left on all construction sites , not on the side of something you want to show off. this is what i built , for work, and fun. welder comes off , top tool box's come off , and 2 sleds or quads go on

This one I built last year for my FL60, it's not quite finished yet...I still need to weld in some toolboxes. A little big for a shortbox, but easy enough to scale down.

Sweet rig, if i ever fall into a pail of money i'd like to get one of these to tow my wheeler, that would look sick goin down the highway.

So I don't know if I should've started another thread or not but I just wrapped up the deck that I built. I'm not a welder by no means. I just kind of took a few ideas I've seen on here and added a little of my own. If I ever built another one I would definately change a few things. First thing would be to try and build an extendable ramp. I went with a solid 9' ramp so that's why the deck sits so high off the box of the truck, so it clears the tailgate. Next thing I would do is try to make the extensions for the sides seperate from the frame. I cut into my frame to add these in and ended up loosing alot of strength this way.
Anyways I'll try to attach a few photos here.

Hopefully this all turns out, First timer here.
I ordered the marker lights off E-bay they are Maxxima 3/4" LED's Super Brights. I also ordered the Cargo light off E-Bay, Nice light, not the color I was wanting it's a little blue so it sort of distorts the light a bit.
