We had other cans but locked them down, left old one at tail gate, seemed to be the only one that went missing, motel parking lots were bad. Usually left full cans in bush and filled empty ones in morning.

Thieves got more rights to your stuff then you do! Same with if someone comes and breaks into your house and hurts them self, you could be sued for having something unsafe. It's stupid!

People always wonder why so much stuff gets stolen? It's cause the cops and justice system don't do fawk all about it!

Well if that's the case, if someone steals ****ty gas from you, just deny it when the cops come looking.

I have a friend who only puts Shell gold in yellow jerry cans and regular in red. He's never owned a diesel and doesn't think twice about doing it.

You really think a thief is going to pinpoint which Jerry can had the contaminated gas in it.....And know who he stole it from.....by time they do work it out if they even can....and I would put a life's time wages on that they wouldn't you have left the camping area and gone home anyway...... How are they ever going to know who and where to find you!!!!!....................

I can assure you while they are stealing the cans they don't note down which can it was and from where and your details!!!!!!....lol

I call bull**** on that one. No plucking way am I paying for somebody who stole from me.

Maybe next time they should have knocked on the door and asked if they could steal gas.
