I would like to say Kudos to Brandon from Martin Motorsports west end, service department. I dropped my 17 skidoo off there on Monday January 7 with some big problems. The exhaust sensor came out of the pipe in the front which had the update done and melted a hole through the hood. The gauge cluster quit, which intern killed my heated grips. And the metal clip that holds the fuel line on to the main rail had worn out, this is something that may be an issue with other sleds soon. This made fuel spray under the hood all over the place, and the fuel spraying on the pipe with a hole in it caused additional damages. When I dropped it off in the morning, I told Brandon that I was quite concerned in getting my sled back for the weekend and that I was hosting Mountain Mania in Valemount and leaving on Thrusday Jan 17. He immediately took in the sled and had it looked over by a mechanic and made a list of parts and the work that was needed. Then went to BRP for warranty approvals and to see if they can get all the parts in and have this all fixed by Wednesday Jan 16. So good news came it was all under warranty, A new hood, pipe, gauge, light bezel, sensor and wiring, and even found an issue with my clutch that was also warranty. I decided to add a pull cord to the unit as it was electric start and if it ever died on the hill I would be pulling it from the clutch. And got the oil changed in the chain case and my shocks charged. On the Saturday Jan 12, all the parts arrived, Brandon let me move the wrap from my old melted hood to the new hood in there shop. Got that done temporarily, will order a new wrap in the spring. Then I got the call on Tuesday that the sled was ready for pickup. That was fast.

Picked it up, had mountain mania, my starter failed on Friday afternoon, lol, thank goodness I installed that pull start. So dropped it off on Thursday and they will be replacing the starter under warranty, another $50 deductible, wont have it back till next week but not going again till next weekend.

You sure are hard on equipment!
That's what warranty is for, lol. From the new motor last season to this. My parents laugh and say next time you go to martins they will be holding the door closed telling me to go by something else, don't come in here.

So it could have burnt........

Yep, there was weird smoke coming out of the hood, and heavy snow so that stopped the sled from fully igniting. Never noticed the fuel leak till I got close to clemina cabin, the sled died as it was out of fuel. We found the fuel leak at the cabin and temporarily fixed it with that 1/4" rubber wire strap that someone gave us. Held it together. The dealer has not seen one of these pop out like it did, the clip that held it in was worn out.

Whoever was incharge of clips and clamps in that factory should be fired.

Here's a question... if it was anyone other the Ron from snow and mud would they have done the same? Because ive been given the "your out of luck" speech by martin a few to many times. I try not to buy there anymore if i can help it due to a few less than desirable interactions.

I haven't yet purchased a sled or big ticket item from Martin's but I will say this....have always been treated like family at that store and buy all my accessories from them even though I have 2 local dealers much closer to me. Thank you to all the staff (especially South location) as its very convenient for me.

I really don't believe so Justin, Another friend had the same issue with the hood and he was looked after, as long as you did the update. And honestly I've been denied warranty on some items already. I believe I was treated in a fair manor that others would have had the same service. They and most reputable dealers will go to bat for you with the BRP Best warranty. They did work extra hard on this as I was doing the event in Valemount, I can give them extra credit for this.

Did Martin's donate yet to the BCSF fundraiser?

Not sure what that has to do with this particular thread I'm sure you can start a new one and find out which Alberta dealers have donated to BCSF. In typical fashion you spin a perfectly good experience at a dealership into your usual negative drivel, pretty standard. If you were funny it would at least be entertaining but your not so it just makes you look ignorant.
