Sorry you feel we weren`t good hosts. We are a large club but like a lot these days there are very few who are actively involved. Our directors were on the hill Sat. That was our president Bill Hughes cooking burgers at the cabin all day for you guys. We hosted Avalance Awarenss Day also in hopes that a lot of the attendees on the ride would participate. The rest of us were riding with Les Austin from the BCSF on Sat., we brought him to town for a very important meeting Sun. with gov. and others were busy so that we were well prepared. There were a lot of club members at the banquet and yes we did send out a message to all club members inviting them. Sorry if our particapation wasn`t what you expected. Maybe for your next event you need it fully drawn out what your expectations are of the club or organization where your are hosting your next event are.

I think you guys did fine and I dont care about the burgers or the cabin I ride to ride not to eat burgers and sit in a cabin and talk about how much hp my sled has,, I was more confused by HEMIs coments,,,, he always has something of no value to say,,, now as it goes for the other coments on the club that is for you guys to discuss..... but maybe someone should settle Hemi down, he is emabarassing to the club.

so u never post, or have anything to say but you act like a security guard wanting to be a cop,,,, anytime you post you are yipping some one off why is this?

p.s. nobody asked you to drop anything,,, but if you wanted to promote a club there was a oppurtunity especialy to get some northern people out to revy.

way to represent the club good job top shelf right there

JohniT: I don't need to post 7000 times or need to be a key board cowboy.
There are many northern people who come to Revy, I know this from selling lots and lots of memberships at the Edmonton shows.
I asked SummitRic to qualify his "personal" comments, not anyone else.
You couldn't be more wrong, anyone who knows me knows how much I support and volunteer with any club or orginization I get involved with.
Are you a member of the Revy club? If not why not join up and do some volunteer work and help support the club. If you are a member maybe we can get together on a work party for a day, when you come out sledding like so many members do.
"but maybe someone should settle Hemi down, he is emabarassing to the club." I'm so humbled you even notice me ;)

Top shelf stuff;)

HEY POWDERPUFF........ I NEVER SAID YOUR CLUB WASN'T GOOD HOSTS, JUST THAT MAYBE A LITTLE MORE CLUB PARTICIPATION, MIGHT HAVE BEEN GOOD FOR YOUR CLUB, WITH ALL THE EXPOSURE. THAT'S ALL I WANTED TO SAY. MAYBE YOUR CLUB DOESN'T NEED IT? I DON'T KNOW.

THE AVY PEOPLE WERE GOOD, AND THE DEMONSTRATIONS WERE GOOD. NEVER DID HAVE A BURGER THOUGH.

IT WAS A GOOD TIME OUT THERE, AND WE'LL BE BACK SOME DAY. HOPEFULLY DOOIN' SICAMOUS IN FEB, AND TROUT LAKE IN MARCH?

SEE YA ON THE WAY THROUGH.........:d

PS.... GOOD LUCK WITH THE 'BOARDERS:rant:...... I THINK IT'S JUST GONNA GET WORSE!

I personally think that the Revy club and the peeps that endlessly and thanklessly attend work parties, meetings, fundraising events, fight to keep our areas open, pay for expenses out of their own pockets, etc., should be given a medel! These people deal with all types of issues from all types of groups that I can't even begin to explain the chit and abuse they take, just so we can keep our areas open.

I know Hemi and his wife, they are fantastic people and help out the club whenever they can. They donate time and products to functions which is 100x more then any one of us do.... We owe them a big thanks!!

From the outside looking in it may appear to you that not enough was done, but I can assure you that this club spends countless hours fighting for access to these areas so that we can come and enjoy them. Which is more important, burgers on the hill or a hill where we can bbq those burgers?

A BIG THANK YOU to those in club who work your butts off so that we can all enjoy those sledding areas!!!!:bow::bow:

I know there are many northern peeps who ride revy but your coments just seemed a little over the top so I went for a :smiliestirthepot:, I know who you are and its great that you volunteer and in the future I am sure I will do the same when possible. I am not a member because I do not get out to Revy enough, its a great place pretty much the best place but its a bit far for day trips.

Dusty you are correct. Like I explained it to you that night. This is a Snow and Mud event held in co-operation with the local club to help promote the area and to get our Members together with a event. Membership has its priviledges. Club members are allowed to attend and encouraged to participate. We ask for the club and whatever other local service groups to help and give them opportiunities to raise funds for their group also. This event we had the Elks run the bar. Last year in McBride the local" Ladies in Purple" did the food, the local club ran the bar each made money to help their cause.
This past summer at our summer event we asked the local 4H club to do a Sunday Breakfast. We donated money to them to help them out.
As I read the reply from Kathy I had no idea what else was happening in town that day. I asked her that night after I heard that the E.D. of BCSF was in attendance if he would like to say a few words but he had just went home. Communication is a wonderfull thing and that was something that was missing when we were dealing with this event.
Overall the event was great and for sure we will be back as a group or indiviually in the future. I am just happy for the first time to make it past the cabin as thats as far as I got last time I was at Revelstoke.

Thanks Revy for the great time.

Thanks Stocky. When we started the MM event we said that we will switch South to North each year. Some members travel each way. Next year will be in the North. 1st year was in Golden. All held in the Glenoggle Lodge. Has really grown since that first time. All good just getting to be a bigger event every year.
