Sledmamma posted in Horsepower Honeys about tek vests, and I know some men don't go there. So, what vest do you wear and why?

I wear a Ski-doo vest and so far I like it, got some parts in front to protect. It works well.

In my head
One season I just up and decided it was time for a vest. Was a little unsure about spending the coin on something that I might find really uncomfortable. Did my research and found the Klim unit to be the best. It is bult by Tek Vest but has what I consider a couple inprovements. Main one being larger vent holes.

First ride it was a bit ackward....now I feel ackward without it! Won't ride unless it's on. Don't even know it's there anymore. Keeps me a little warmer at times too.

Highly recommend it......if you have not cracked or broken a rib then you cannot appreciat the pain and how long it takes to recover from that.

My Klim vest gets an A+

661 pressure suit for me,, i cut the arms off at the elbow for sled n and put arms back in place for the dirt,,, lots of back protection too. I like the prtection down to the elbow from all the tree slap n.

you get used to them,, I also use knee pads 661 as well

I've got the SixSixOne Core Saver and it seems to work great. It's definitely saved me a few bruised / broken ribs. Not too uncomfortable, but it can get a little warm sometimes.

I have the Klim Tek Vest, and believe me when I say it's worth every penny.
I've never really hurt myself before I started wearing it, but have went over the handlebars countless times without doing any real damage, but knew my time may be coming. I used to be the only one in our group not really wearing one, and finally went out and have been wearing one for 2 riding seasons now, and won't ride without one now. When riding now, I don't even know it's there, except for it being another windbreaker that keeps you a little warmer.

After injuring myself to where I needed assistance to do just about everything, I started wearing a Tekvest, and can't say enough good things about it. Took a little getting used to, but I'm sure it has save many more bruises and bumps.
That's whee my nickname came from, gotta love your friends ! Chest, back, Kidney, shoulder and elbow protection all in one. Klim suit has knee pads built in which helps as well. I like to play hard, but gettin too old for the pain !
