I like how cyle can tell other people they're stupid and failed school, blah, blah, blah, but yet he can't realize he's more dumb than anyone else.

He drags us down to his level of stupidity and beats us with experience.

Oh my god you sound more stupid with every post. I can't tell you how many firefighters and police have tattoos. Especially memorial tats. Sure they aren't exposed but most police fire emt doc dentist whatever have full body covering uniforms.

I will side with you on one thing. Body tattoos are fine but it takes a certain person to do face tattoos. So I might judge someone on that but really only that
Exaclty NOT visable. So you will discriminate if it's a face tattoo? Funny

By using your logic i now wouldn't hire anybody who is overweight and has red hair. Your lack of intelligence seems to be limitless.

Yup I said I would judge. But I also takes a certain kind of person to do something like thaT.

It's true it does... I have a few friends/ coworkers with them. They are pretty awesome people though.

Well I can see I hurt enough feelings for today. Who needs a tissue? Then go fill out the hurt feelings report.

Would you judge someone on speaking English? Would you hire someone who you'd know would be VERY hard to understand vs someone who is fluent in English, everything else equal? It happens all the time. When was the last time you seen fire, ems, or a cops with a visable tattoo or piercing? None, not allowed...because of public image...

Daily....we have an RCMP officer here with a plainly visable tattoo on his neck, better do some more research.

I'd like to know if they know about it? Just because he has it doesn't mean it's allowed. I will absolutely guarantee you it's not allowed in edmonton fire/ems. Nor have I ever seen any cops. I will almost bet RCMP does not allow it either......

Oh just shut the front door cyle. You're just embarrassing yourself every time you hit the "post reply" button.

Had a chat with a kelowna Firefighter today while we waited outside our kids kindergarten class so I said hey Chris I have a question for you. Is there any laws or rules against you guys having tattoos? He laughs and asks if I am covered then says No it's pretty open. That would be discriminating. We actually just hired a firefighter with his arms covered in tattoos?

Here's the vancouver police rules on it. So ya, if RCMP is anywhere close (couldn't find it) it wouldn't be allowed. Nor would people with their entire arm filled with them. Funny!

1. DEFINITIONS
a. Excessive tattoos – excessive is defined as any tattoo or collection of tattoos that exceeds 30% of the exposed body
part, those above the collarbone readily visible when wearing an open collar uniform, and/or any which detract from an
appropriate professional image.
b. Unauthorized tattoos – unauthorized is defined as any tattoo considered inappropriate, unprofessional or
offensive (i.e. depictions of nudity or violence, sexually explicit or vulgar art, words, phrases or profane language).
2. Members wishing to obtain a tattoo should have it located in an area which can be covered with a Department
approved uniform.
3. Uniformed members shall not display excessive or unauthorized tattoos while on duty or representing the Department
in any official capacity. Excessive and/or unauthorized tattoos must be covered with a Department approved uniform.
4. Plainclothes members shall not display excessive or unauthorized tattoos while on duty or representing the Department
in any official capacity. Excessive and/or unauthorized tattoos must be covered with approved clothing attire.
5. Members of the Department in undercover assignments may display tattoos otherwise prohibited in this Section with
the approval of their Inspector.

Discrimination happens everyday, like it or not, it's still going to happen.
